Asya Mitchem is a proud 2013 Southern University Law Center graduate and a Texas licensed attorney. As an attorney and former business owner, she understands the often-complicated dynamics of business ownership. Ms. Mitchem’s work as an attorney centers around business law and intellectual property. She believes in being an advocate for the arts and has a passion for providing legal advice to entrepreneurs and creatives such as authors, product-based businesses, artist, professional consultants, restaurant owners, and illustrators. She recognizes the importance of educating businesses and creatives, especially in the two areas of intellectual property, trademark law and copyright law, because it is one of the most valuable assets a business or creative can have.
Ms. Mitchem’s intellectual property experiences include but are not limited to federal trademark registration, trademark renewals, trademark availability searches, copyright registration, intellectual property licensing agreements, copyright transfer agreements, songwriter publishing agreements, author publishing agreements, website terms of use agreements, and illustrator royalty and merchandising agreement.
As Of Counsel to Hall-Jackson & Associates, PC, Ms. Mitchem offers representation in intellectual property matters. The services offered by Ms. Mitchem are based on federal law and allow her to assist entrepreneurs and creatives in various states.
